Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

As a New Yorker, Sarai has always valued the richness that comes from diverse perspectives and lived experiences. She is passionate about advancing diversity and inclusion and has contributed to diversity-related initiatives across various academic institutions and medical centers. Now in her second year as a student ambassador, Sarai aims to build on her experience in program coordination, evaluation, and pipeline development, with a focus on promoting educational equity and increasing exposure to health-related careers for middle and high school students from underrepresented backgrounds. This year, she seeks to foster inclusivity, connect students with School of Public Health resources, and continue strengthening a culture of service and engagement between students and the Rhode Island community.
